Een echte zeldzaamheid, een Chrysler Sunbeam. En dan niet een basis versie maar de iets wat sportievere 1.6s (sport). Een originele Nederlandse auto in de kleur Cherry red van 1978.

De auto rijdt en schakelt goed, heeft wel een paar jaar stilgestaan, apk is verlopen.

Verwacht geen grote dingen voor de apk. 

Lakwerk is nog behoorlijk mooi rood, maar heeft wel wat plekjes hier en daar.

De hoeveelheid roest valt heel erg mee voor zijn leeftijd van 48 jaar! Hij is dan vanaf zijn jongere jaren goed in de vloeibare tectyl gezet. Maar roest vrij is hij niet. 

Het interieur is ook nog redelijk netjes voor zijn leeftijd, al heeft de bekleding wel een paar gaatjes en het bovenste deel van het dashboard heeft een scheur. 

Met zo’n 70pk, 900kg en achterwielaandrijving is het best een speelse auto. Voorzien van brede lichtmetalen 13” Wolfrace velgen en een sportuitlaat. 

Bijzonder is dat het een originele Nederlandse auto is, en dat zelfs de handleiding en het Servie boekje nog erbij zijn.

Zeer gewild in de rallysport, waarbij de Lotus uitvoering ook erg succesvol was. 

Leuke auto om zo klaar te maken en te rijden als hij is, of als restoratie project.

The car drives and shifts well, has been standing still for a few years, MOT has expired.
Don't expect big things for the MOT.

The paintwork is still quite a nice red, but has some spots here and there.
The amount of rust is very limited for its age of 48! It has been well covered in liquid tectyl since its younger years. But it is not rust-free.

The interior is also still reasonably neat for its age, although the upholstery does have a few holes and the upper part of the dashboard has a crack.

With about 70 hp, 900 kg and rear-wheel drive, it is quite a playful car. Equipped with wide light-alloy 13” Wolfrace rims and a sports exhaust.

It is special that it is an original Dutch car, and that even the manual and the Servie booklet are still there.

Very popular in rally sport, where the Lotus version was also very successful.
A nice car to prepare and drive as it is, or as a restoration project.
