Leuke, snelle Ford Escort MK2 in RS2000 rally trim uit 1980.

Auto is vrij recent gebouwd, roest vrij en zit netjes in de lak (geen concours auto, maar gewoon netjes). Gespoten in de correcte kleur Ford Diamond White.

De auto is gebouwd om deel te kunnen nemen aan rally’s / kaartleesritten / trackdays. Geen auto aanbevolen voor dagelijks gebruik, al zou dat wel kunnen maar comfortabel is dat niet.

Voorzien van een nieuwe door Schaafsma gebouwde 2.0 205 pinto motor met recent gereviseerde dubbele 45-er weber carburateurs, snelle nokkenas, bewerkte cilinderkop, lichtvliegwiel, sportuitlaat met spaghetti spruitstuk enz. Paar weken geleden op de rollenbank afgesteld bij J classics (160pk/211nm).

Rondom nieuwe instelbare Gaz schokdempers. Group 1 geventileerde remmen setup voor, schijfrem conversie achter met hydraulische handrem, rvs remslangen en alles regelbaar dmv een paddlebox.

De RS2000 Achteras is voorzien van een 4.1 overbrenging en quaiffe LSD. De aandrijving vindt plaats via een gereviseerde T9 5 versnellingsbak met quickshift. 

Brandstof wordt opgeslagen in een FIA gekeurde brandstoftank met elektrische brandstofpomp.

Er zitten 2 sets 13” velgen bij (1x semi slicks / 1x regenbanden)

De carrosserie is voorzien van een Gartrac aluminium uitbouwset (type; Forrest). 

Verder zijn alle versteviging aanpassingen gedaan om de auto geschikt te maken voor rally gebruik, zo ook een dichte afscheiding naar de brandstoftank en doorgelastte carrosserie. Er zit een FIA gekeurde safety devices rolkooi in. De FIA gekeurd Gordels en stoelen zijn over de keurdatum, maar zijn wel nog in nette staat. Verder zijn er 4 Hella Rally2000 lampen gemonteerd. De auto is ook bij de RDW gekeurd met deze aanpassingen, rolkooi en ook omgekeurd als 2 zitter. Volledig legaal dus!

Geen auto voor de puristen die een originele RS2000 zoeken, maar wel uitermate geschikt om plezier mee te beleven.  

Ook ideaal om een replica te maken van een oude Works rally auto van vroeger.

Nice and fast Ford Escort MK2 in RS2000 rally trim from 1980.

The car has been build up recently, no rust and nice paintwork (not a concours car, but really nice). Painted in the original color Ford Diamond White.

The car is build for rally’s / roadmap trips / trackdays. Not a car for daily use, although it's possible but not very comfortable.

Fitted with a new Schaafsma build 2.0 205 pinto engine with twin 45-er weber carbs, fast road cam, ported cilinderhead, light flywheel, sport exhaust with 4-2-1 manifold etc. Few weeks ago all tested and fine tuned at J classics (160pk/211nm).

New adjustable Gaz shock absorbers. Group 1 vented brakes at the front, disc conversion at the rear with hydraulische handbrake, stainless steel brake lines and a paddlebox.

The RS2000 rear axle is fitted with a 4.1 quaiffe diff with LSD. It has a rebuild 5 speed T9 gearbox with quickshift.

It also has a FIA approved fuel tank with electrical fuelpump.

It comes with 2 sets 13” wheels (1x semi slicks/ 1x raintires)

The bodyshell has been fitted a Gartrac aluminium bodykit (type; Forrest).

It has all the necessairy additional stifning to make it rally approved including a closed firewall to the fueltank. A FIA safety devices roll over cage has been fitted. Also FIA approved seatbelts and seats, but these are out of date.  At the front you'll find 4 Hella Rally2000 lamps. The car has been approved at the Dutch RDW with all these modifications. So it's fully legal!

Not a car fur the purist which want an original RS2000, this one is build to have fun! Also ideal to make a Work rally car replica.
